These terms of service (“terms”) govern your use of Crenomi, the calendar synchronisation service available at app.crenomi.com, and of the website crenomi.com. By creating a Crenomi account, you accept them.
1. Who we are
Crenomi is published by ALK Innovations, a SASU with a capital of €1,000, registered with the Nantes Trade and Companies Register under number 983 856 642, whose registered office is at 31 avenue des Korrigans, 44300 Nantes, France (intra-community VAT number FR06983856642) (“ALK Innovations”, “we”). The publication director is Quentin Georget, President of ALK Innovations.
Crenomi and crenomi.com are hosted by Microsoft France SAS, 37 Quai du Président Roosevelt, 92130 Issy-les-Moulineaux, France, on Microsoft Azure.
You can reach us at contact@crenomi.com or by post at the address above.
2. What Crenomi does
Crenomi connects your Google, Microsoft, iCloud and other CalDAV calendars. When you are busy in a calendar you choose, Crenomi adds a “Busy” event (a “blocker”) at the same time in the other calendars you choose, from today up to 90 days ahead. A blocker carries a title (“Busy” unless you choose another one), the description “Synced by Crenomi · crenomi.com” and a time. The details of your events are never copied.
What Crenomi reads, stores and deletes is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
Crenomi is under active development. Features can be added, changed or removed. When a change affects how Crenomi uses your calendars, we tell you before it takes effect.
3. Price
Crenomi is free. There is no payment and no payment information is collected. If this ever changes, we will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.
4. Who can use Crenomi
Crenomi is offered to professionals only. It is meant for use in the course of a trade, business, craft or profession, not for personal or household use.
You can use Crenomi if you are at least 16 years old, able to enter into a contract, and use it as a professional: on your own account, for example as a self-employed person, or on behalf of the organisation you work for. If you accept these terms on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it, and “you” then means both you and that organisation.
5. Your account
You create your account by signing in with a Google or a Microsoft account. You are responsible for the security of those accounts, and for what is done with Crenomi through them. Tell us without delay if you think someone else has accessed your Crenomi account.
6. Your calendars
You connect your calendar accounts yourself, and you choose which calendars block the others and which ones receive blockers. By connecting an account, you confirm that you are allowed to give Crenomi access to it.
When you let Crenomi add blockers to a calendar that someone shared with you, everyone who can see that calendar sees when you are busy. Make sure you are allowed to add events to it. Crenomi asks you to confirm before it does.
For iCloud and other CalDAV servers, you give Crenomi a password. For iCloud, use an app-specific password, never your Apple ID password.
Your calendar providers’ own terms keep applying to your calendars. Crenomi depends on what Google, Microsoft, Apple and other providers allow: if one of them changes or withdraws an access, the corresponding feature may stop working.
7. Your content
Your calendars and events remain yours. You allow ALK Innovations to read them, and to write, update and delete its blockers in them, only to the extent needed to provide Crenomi. This permission ends when you disconnect the account concerned or delete your Crenomi account.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Crenomi to access calendars or accounts you are not allowed to use;
- try to get around Crenomi’s security measures or limits, or to access other people’s data;
- disrupt Crenomi or overload it, including with automated requests;
- use Crenomi for any unlawful purpose.
9. Availability
We work to keep Crenomi available and reliable, but we cannot promise that it will work without interruption or error. Synchronisation depends on the calendar providers, and a change can take a few minutes to appear in your other calendars.
Crenomi helps keep your availability up to date. It is not a substitute for checking your calendars before you commit to an important appointment.
10. Liability
Crenomi is provided free of charge, as it is. To the extent permitted by law, ALK Innovations is not liable for indirect damage, such as a missed appointment, a double booking or a loss of business, arising from the use of Crenomi or from its unavailability.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence or bodily injury, or any liability that mandatory law does not allow to be limited.
11. Ending the service
You can stop using Crenomi at any time. Disconnecting an account removes the blockers Crenomi added through it. Deleting your Crenomi account, from the app, removes every blocker Crenomi added and then everything it stores about you, as described in the privacy policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, after telling you why, unless the breach is serious or the law prevents it. We may also stop the service altogether: we will then tell you by e-mail at least 30 days beforehand, and Crenomi will remove its blockers from your calendars before the service ends, as it does when you delete your account.
12. Intellectual property
Crenomi is a brand of ALK Innovations. The service, its software, its interface and the content of crenomi.com belong to ALK Innovations and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use Crenomi as these terms allow; nothing else is granted to you.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top of this page says when they last changed. We will tell you about any significant change at least 30 days before it takes effect, by e-mail or in the app. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account before then.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If a dispute arises, please contact us first: most problems can be solved that way. Failing an amicable solution, the courts of Nantes have jurisdiction, to the extent the law allows.
15. Contact
For any question about these terms: contact@crenomi.com, or ALK Innovations, 31 avenue des Korrigans, 44300 Nantes, France.
